The Best New Games for Android This Week – Encodya, Bomb Trouble and More
Another week is slowly shuffling towards its inevitable end, bleary eyed and a little bit confused, and that means it’s time for us to write a list about the best games that have landed on the Play Store over the last seven days.
And it’s been a pretty good week. We’ve got plenty of dungeons for you, some old-school platforming and a point-and-click adventure starring a bumbling robot. Excellent times. Oh, and they’re all premium as well.
You can click on the names of the games below to download them all from the Play Store. And if you think you’ve spotted a game that came out this week and deserves some attention, let us know in the comments section.
If you’re a fan of old-school dungeon crawlers then this one’s going to be right up your street. There’s load of subterranean real-estate to slash your way through, and about 15 hours of gameplay to soak up. And centaurs. Who doesn’t love centaurs?
Big Tournament Golf ACA NeoGeo
The latest game in the ACA NeoGeo series is an absolute gem of a golf game. Seriously, this is one of the very best golf games that’s ever been released. We don’t even like golf in real life but we’re excited about this one. And you can play with your friends as well.
A revamped version of an excellent, super deep dungeon exploring roguelike. You’ll run around, hack and slash stuff, get new gear and generally have a lovely old time while you’re doing it.
A single-screen platformer with some deep arcade roots. You’re scrambling around, leaping over monsters and spikes, and trying to defuse bombs before they explode. There are 80 levels, and they’re all pretty darn good.
A point-and-click adventure set in the not-too-distant future. You’re playing as a nine year old orphan and her robot companion. It looks gorgeous, there’s a brilliant story and more than 100 different locations to explore.
