M0NESY Talks About His Amazing 1v4 Clutch Against MIBR on Inferno
The youngest member of the G2 Esports CS:GO team, Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov, took a stunning 1v4 clutch against MIBR on Inferno during the recently concluded BLAST Premier: Spring Finals 2022.
Armed with just an AWP, the 16-year-old went berserk as he took care of all the four MIBR players single-handedly while being trapped in ‘B-Site’. This is just the first CS:GO tournament of the 2022 circuit and many in the community believe that they might have just witnessed the best clutch play of this year.
After winning the match and qualifying for the BLAST Premier: Spring Finals 2022, m0NESY during a recent Twitch stream spoke about his clutch, breaking it down and explaining what was going through his mind at that point in time.

Breaking down his own clutch by explaining how he was thinking in that situation and what all was going through his mind, m0NESY revealed that after getting the first three frags and securing the plant, his heart had started beating very fast as he waited for the fourth player, “I’ve never had a heartbeat like that before, I’m serious!”
The Russian marksmen after connecting the first no scope stated that he felt that he was about to clutch this round. He was aware of the fact that the second player inside the ‘B-Site’ was playing contact and would not peek him as only 12 seconds were left for the round to time out.
On the other hand, the third player was holding a crossfire from ‘CT Spawn’ and was confident that m0NESY would not try to frag him, and this is exactly what he did.
The G2 marksmen explained that after faking a plant, both the MIBR players peeked him, so he managed to cut enough corner to avoid being hit from the second player while taking down the other. From here on out, all he had to do was take care of the second player who was trying to play contact.
Having taken care of all the three players on ‘B-Site’, m0NESY said that the last player did not move at all. Even when he had taken two frags, the fourth player was still standing at the other site. After planting and moving to the ‘Dark’ spot, he simply waited for the last player, having a significant advantage over him.
Not only did m0NESY end up taking him down and win the clutch, but the 16-years-old even pointed out the mistake committed by the final MIBR player.
Ilya “m0NESY” OsipovHe threw the Molotov to the ‘Pillar’, but I think that was a mistake in that situation. If you know that your opponent is hiding somewhere on the site, it is better to set fire to the ‘Dark’. That’s where players hide most often, when they don’t know where to expect their opponent from.

Providing the detailed breakdown of the insane clutch surely makes it easier for everyone to understand how m0NESY was clearly a step ahead of the MIBR players in that situation. Not only did he read them like a book, but also went on to secure every single frag and some of those shots were astounding. This shows the confidence and belief the young AWPer had in himself and his abilities.
