A new patch for last year’s Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut nods to fellow upcoming PlayStation adventure Horizon Forbidden West.

The team at Sucker Punch Studios are honouring Guerilla’s release next week with a new Forbidden Shrine. This new location includes a puzzle that, when solved, allows Jin to don a new costume based on Aloy’s outfit from the new game. The Shrine can only be found on the Iki Island location mind, so you’ll need the expansion to find it.

It’s a nice little nod between fellow PlayStation studios, though it’s not the only addition in the patch. Elsewhere, the 2.15 update also adds a new Platinum difficulty level for co-op mode Ghost of Tsushima: Legends. It’ll be slightly harder than Gold, but of course also offering better rewards and a higher chance at better gear. The update also adds a block button to deal with any unsavoury players ruining your co-op fun. The team say another patch is on the way next month with further bugs and improvements.

You can check out Josh’s verdict on Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut over here and the patch including the Horizon costume is available now. Meanwhile Horizon Forbidden West will be upon us in just over a week, landing on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 from February 18.

We are so excited for Horizon Forbidden West from our friends at @Guerrilla! While we wait, today we’ve released a new patch for Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut that repairs a Wind Shrine to the north of Iki Island.
