The following Tier List will list Genshin Impact’s most popular team compositions for the upcoming Ver. 2.5.

These teams have very particular purposes and strengths. Therefore, they are not listed in order of importance as we consider. There is no one better than the others, but they’re all compositions you’ll want to get together to push the limits in Genshin Impact 2.5.

Genshin Impact 2.5 Best Teams

There are varieties of these teams that replace one or two characters. We will mention the most common ones. It is not a guide set in stone but a general idea of which teams will perform best.

National Team

This is the classic team, the most F2P friendly, as they do not need fancy weapons or a 5-star DPS. National Team is a great starting point for most beginners.

DPS: Xianling

Sub DPS: Xingqiu

Support: Chongyun

Support: Bennet

Variation: Replace Chongyun for Kaeya, Rosaria, or Sucrose.

The synergy of the National Team is the key, quick-swap playstyle with Bennet and Chongyun buffing the melt reaction of Xingqiu and Xiangling.

Rational Team

Perhaps the weakling in the National Team is Chongyun, so what happens if you replace it for a 5-star monster like Raiden Shogun?

Well, you get the most popular team in the current Spiral Abyss. Raiden Shogun is the best battery in the game. She is on this team to make sure Xingqiu and Xianling have no problems with their costly burst.

DPS: Xianling

Sub DPS: Xingqiu

Support: Raiden Shogun

Support: Bennet

Raiden Shogun is not only there to provide Energy Particles, but she can also contribute with a very decent amount of DMG.

International Team

Another variation of the OG National Team, the International element, comes from the inclusion of Childe from Snezhnaya and Kazuha from Inazuma.

DPS: Tartaglia

Sub DPS: Xiangling

Support: Kazuha

Elemental Enabler: Xingqiu

A good team in most scenarios, against big mobs, single targets, unfreezeable enemies.

The International Team is a bit less popular in the latest updates, with Cryo being the meta for the current Enemies in Spiral Abyss.

Ganyu Freeze Comp

Now we enter the World Record territory but also not so friendly to F2P players. Ganyu is known as one of the best DPS in the game; this is the team where she shines the most.

DPS: Ganyu

Sub DPS: Venti

Support: Mona

Elemental Enabler: Diona

Variations: Kokomi instead of Mona. Zhongli instead of Diona. Kazuha or Sucrose instead of Venti.

Diona provides heal, shield, and element resonance to Ganyu while Mona Freezes them, and Venti pulls them together, so Ganyu obliterates them.

Vape Team

These teams are everything about Vaporizing enemies. Hu Tao is the best in that, with Xingqiu as her best ally. The other two characters are in the service of Hu Tao insane DMG.

DPS: Hu Tao

Sub DPS: Xingqiu

Support: Zhongli

Support: Albedo

Variation: Bennet instead of Albedo, other Pyro DPS instead of Hu Tao. Kokomi instead of Albedo.

This team is excellent. The only problem is that developers are nerfing it with new Enemies that can cause Corrosion or ignore Shields.

Honorable Mention

The following teams are not currently among the most popular. However, they have proved to be pretty strong.

  • Hunter of Demons

    • DPS: Xiao
    • Sub DPS: Albedo
    • Support: Zhongli
    • Elemental Enabler: Jean
  • Mono Geo

    • DPS: Arataki Itto
    • Sub DPS: Albedo
    • Support: Zhongli
    • Elemental Enabler: Gorou

Permafrost

As the name suggests, the team is about freezing enemies to death. Ayaka is the show star, but Shenhe’s addition pushes the squad to a different level.

DPS: Ayaka

Sub DPS: Kazuha

Support: Kokomi

Elemental Enabler: Shenhe

Variations: Venti instead of Kazuha and Mona instead of Kokomi.

There are many variations of this team through time. Ayaka’s fun playstyle and power made her the Ice Queen. Along with rational, the most popular teams in the current Spiral Abyss.
