Developer Mundfish has dropped a new trailer for post-apocalyptic first person action RPG, Atomic Heart complete with new release window.

The game takes place in an alternate world 1950s USSR with a clash of styles between future and modern. Let’s go to the blurb for the story. “A global system failure happens at the Soviet Facility №3826 that leads machinery to rebel against the people. You are Major P-3 and your task is to eliminate the consequences of a large-scale accident and prevent the leakage of classified information threatening to destroy the whole world.”

To do so, you’ll use a special Polymer Glove that can turn everything into a weapon. That’s a good excuse to give you devastating powers, which you’ll definitely need as you go up against the mutated horrors of this part-man, part-machine world. Previous trailers have given the game a very Bioshock-esque feel, and that keeps up in this brand new footage.

While an exact date isn’t given in the trailer, we are teased it’ll release this year in a month ending in ‘ber’. Using our brilliant detective skills (namely, a calendar) we can deduce that means it should be between September and December. Presumably, we’ll find out exactly when a little closer to release.

In the meantime, check out the trailer for yourself below. Atomic Heart launches later this year on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and PC.  The trailer also confirms it’ll be a day one Xbox Game Pass launch too, which is nice.
