How To Play Nerdle & Rules

Nerdle is completely free-to-play and simply requires an active internet connection and a device with a web browser. To play, head to www.nerdlegame.com and away you go.

The rules of Nerdle are simple, players have a total of six attempts to work out a new equation each day. There are a total of 8 numbers and symbols that must form a calculation that is mathematically correct, so you can’t enter a bunch of numbers/symbols and hope for the best. The answer will always include an “=” too before the answer to the equation.

Once players guess a number/symbol correctly, it will turn green. However, if you guess a correct number/symbol but in the wrong place, it will turn purple to show you that you’re close.

Nerdle was created by Richard Mann, a British data scientist who was discussing the Wordle craze with his daughter when the two decided there should be a version for those who love numbers. And the rest was history!
