Call of Duty Rumoured To Receive Major UI Redesign And Subscription
The Call of Duty franchise has evolved in various ways since its inception in 2003 and if an industry insider is to be believed, they’re not done yet. The franchise is reportedly set to receive a “major redesign and rebrand” of its UI, courtesy of Infinity Ward. Ever since Infinity Ward released the reboot of Modern Warfare back in 2019, each Call of Duty title since has stuck to an almost identical UI design. Modern Warfare, Warzone, Black Ops Cold War, and Vanguard all appear in the menu design when you open one of the games. Many fans despise this design, as the menu looks incredibly cluttered and practically shoves the latest Call of Duty game down your throat, regardless of whether you’ve purchased it or not. Thankfully, it looks like things could be about to change with the release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II as Infinity Ward are rumoured to be giving the UI and complete redesign.
