Pokemon Legends Arceus: A Perfect Pickling Stone Request Guide (Request 12)
Pokemon Legends: Arceus is set in the old times in the Pokemon world when it was rare to find harmony between people and Pokemon. Set in the land of the Hisui region, which will be known as the Sinnoh region in modern times, you join the Galaxy Expedition Team (or just Galaxy Team for short) as a member of the Survey Corps stationed in Jubilife Village. You will be tasked to meet every species of Pokémon from the Hisui region to complete the region’s first-ever Pokédex.
The Galaxy Team will task the player to do missions in the game. Additionally, various people will also ask for help from the player in requests. One of these requests is Request 12, titled ‘A Perfect Pickling Stone.’ This guide will teach how to complete the A Perfect Pickling Stone request.
A Perfect Pickling Stone
Before starting this request, the player must first complete the ‘Request from Mai’ Mission, where the player will visit the Training Ground for the first time, and the player will be in a Pokemon battle against Akira or Rei. After that, you can reset the area by exiting and reentering Jubilife Village to unlock the request.
To start the A Perfect Pickling Stone Request, go inside the Galaxy Hall and head to the second floor, where you will meet a woman named Radisa. She will tell the player that she needs your help to find a Geodude because she hopes that a Geodude would be just the right weight to use as a pickling stone.
After that, all you have to do now is look for a Geodude and catch it. Fortunately, it is very easy to catch one. Assuming you have already defeated your first Alpha Pokemon and unlocked the new basecamp in the Deertrack Heights area of the Obsidian Fieldlands, you can immediately go there by going out the gates of Jubilife Village and on the prompt from the guard, select the Heights Camp. Then, upon arriving there, follow the path down and back to the Fieldlands Camp. Just a little bit down the path, you will find a lot of Geodude.
Catching a Geodude by sneaking and with a back strike (throwing a Poke Ball with the Pokemon unaware and its back facing you) can help. However, if you decide to battle one, it is important to note that Geodude is a Ground and Rock-type, which means it is fragile against Water-type and Grass-type Pokemon like Oshawott and Rowlet, respectively.
After catching a Geodude, go back to Jubilife Village, and you can find Radisa inside her house in the west of the village near the farm (the middle house of the outer row of houses on the left side). Go inside her house and show her the Geodude that you caught. In return, the player will be rewarded with three Honey Cakes and one Exp. Candy S.
