Cyberpunk 2077 Next-Gen FAQ Confirms No Trophy Transfer For PS4, PS5 Users

CD Projekt RED has revealed in an FAQ for the newly-launched PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions of Cyberpunk 2077 that the game will not allow users to transfers their PS4/PS5 Trophies.

If you’ve been playing the game on the PS4 using the PS5’s backwards compatibility functionality, then you will still have to unlock the Trophies all over again when you start playing the PS5 version of the game.

Here’s the official blurb:

Unfortunately, as the next-gen version has a different SKU, PlayStation trophies obtained thanks to backward compatibility will not be transferred. You will need to meet the requirements once again to unlock them.

Cyberpunk 2077 update 1.5 is now available to download, which brings with it a slew of improvements across the board including full support for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. You can check out the first footage of the game running on PS5 here.
