Netflix Acquires Rights To BioShock Live-Action Movie
Netflix has acquired the rights to produce a live adaptation for a BioShock movie. Happy days!
The BioShock movie will be created with Netflix, 2K Games and Take-Two Interactive in partnership. Furthermore, it will also be produced by Vertigo Entertainment, known for the rebooted It movies, Doctor Sleep, the LEGO movies and more.
“Netflix is among the best and most forward-thinking storytellers in all of entertainment today,” said Take-Two boss Strauss Zelnick in a statement.
Netflix, 2K and Take-Two Interactive are partnering to produce a film adaptation of the renowned video game franchise BioShock.

The statement continues: “We are thrilled that they share our vision and commitment to the BioShock franchise, which is beloved by millions of fans around the world.
“2K’s Cloud Chamber studio is deep in active development on the next iteration of the series, and coupled with our partnership with Netflix, we remain highly confident that BioShock will continue to captivate and engage audiences like never before.”
