Former Witcher 3 director reveals Rebel Wolves, a new studio working on a dark fantasy RPG

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is one of my top favorite games of all time. To me, it’s one of those games I wish I could forget, just so I can experience it all over again. So when its director announces that he’s formed a team to create a new RPG, I’ll listen up. Rebel Wolves is a new studio under the former Witcher 3 director, and its first task is to create a dark fantasy RPG using Unreal Engine 5. Konrad Tomaszkiewicz, who was also the production/secondary game director for Cyberpunk 2077, left CD Projekt RED, but he didn’t go alone. Tomaszkiewicz is joined by fellow CDPR and industry veterans in the creation of the Rebel Wolves studio. The team was formed with the need to create “vibrant virtual worlds, filled to the brim with powerful emotions and unique experiences.” That doesn’t sound too far off from The Witcher and similar games.
