Steam Deck ratings show around half the games tested ‘work flawlessly’
Valve‘s Steam Deck suitability ratings have started rolling out, and just over half of the games tested so far work without any compromises. The list on Steam DB (which requires users to log in with their Steam account before it can be seen) shows all the games which currently have an official Steam Deck rating from Valve’s testers. Valve is in the process of reviewing the entire Steam catalogue, and is marking each game with one of four ratings designed to show how smooth the experience will be when playing that game on its upcoming handheld. These ratings are designed to let Steam Deck owners easily tell which games are best suited for play on the Deck. At the time of writing, 67 games have been rated, of which 38 have been rated Verified, which means they play without any issues whatsoever. 24 have been rated Playable, which means they work on Steam Deck but the experience isn’t completely seamless. The most common reason for this is games which require the player to enter text, which means they have to bring up the Steam Deck’s on-screen keyboard.
