Uncharted Fortnite skins arrive in time for a treasure hunt

Uncharted Fortnite skins are now available in-game, bringing Nathan Drake and Chloe Frazer into the popular battle royale shooter.

Both treasure hunting heroes come in two different versions – one based on Naughty Dog’s acclaimed video games, and the other styled on their appearances in the new Uncharted movie.

This latest crossover celebrates the release of Sony’s blockbuster adaptation which sees Tom Holland (Drake), Mark Wahlberg (Sully), and Sophia Taylor Ali (Chloe) go in search of Ferdinand Magellan’s lost fortune.

Not only do you get a chance to play dress up, this new Uncharted update adds a treasure map to Fortnite. Use this item during a match to locate hidden chests crammed with loot. This gameplay feature will remain in Fortnite until the end of Chapter 3 Season 1.

Uncharted on PS5 forgets its most precious relic

Nathan and Chloe are the latest PlayStation icons to appear within the battle royale sensation, following both Kratos and Aloy. It’s not everyone’s cup of tea but Fortnite is perhaps the only place you’ll ever see Nathan Drake rubbing shoulders with Xbox heroes like Master Chief. Then there’s the endless characters from other universes, from Batman and Naruto to Boba Fett and Lara Croft.

2022 has already been a bumper year for Uncharted fans. Besides the movie (which is kind of alright, actually), the Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection hit PS5 and PC. Here’s what we had to say:

Long after Nathan Drake hung up his holster for the last time a half decade ago, Uncharted’s legacy still remains. This collection crams two genre-defining prestige hits together – the kind of linear AAA action games we rarely see today. Let’s hope for more treasure-hunting adventure to come.

But what’s next for Uncharted, you may be asking? Uncharted 4 was a definitive send-off for lead protagonist, Nathan Drake, though it’s incredibly unlikely Sony is ready to close the book on Uncharted for good. Expect the name to return in some capacity and don’t be surprised if a new studio is handed the reins as Naughty Dog pursues other projects.
