Star Wars 1313 Boba Fett gameplay surfaces years after the game
Star Wars 1313 made a huge splash when it was revealed back in 2012. The game was meant to delve into the grittier, criminal underworld of Coruscant and stepping away from the focus on the Jedi and the Sith. The game would have starred Boba Fett and there was some artwork released showing the famous bounty hunter. Today, new footage of Star Wars 1313 was released years after the project was cancelled, and the few minutes show gameplay of Boba Fett.
Star Wars 1313 was, as widely expected, set to star a young Boba Fett as he traipses around the seedy underbelly of city-planet, Coruscant. This formative period in Fett’s life comes between the end of the prequel trilogy and the beginning of the original trilogy so we would have got to see a young man developing from a rage-filled kid into the best bounty hunter in the galaxy. The plot seems to have revolved around the spice trade (that’s basically drugs in Star Wars) run by the Hutts and other criminal families. There were other bounty hunters at work too, fighting for other families and Fett had a robot companion that fought alongside him.
Star Wars 1313 was cancelled after Disney cancelled all LucasArts projects and essentially shut down the studio, following its acquisition of Lucasfilm and the Star Wars properties. Disney let the trademark for Star Wars 1313 run down which then considered it was abandoned by the US Patent and Trademark Office.
