During the showcase, the developers revealed so many details about UFL, from the game modes and licensed clubs to the official ambassadors of the game. Here, we will go over the key factors of the game one after another.
UFL Will Be Available Later in 2022
First of all, let’s make it clear that UFL doesn’t have an exact release date yet, but it is targeting a 2022 launch when it’s ready! So, it’s probably going to be available in Q3/Q4 2022 when the new football season in major European countries will kick-off.
UFL Game Modes
The core game mode in UFL is a global league with a Division-based system in which you will be facing players at your rank and strength. The matchmaking system will take every factor of a player’s skills and team rating into account to find a suitable opponent.
Every player will be able to create his own club, much similar to FIFA‘s Ultimate Team mode, and will have full control over the club. The more games you win, the more opportunities you will have to expand your club and strengthen your squad.
Once you reached the high-tier divisions in UFL, you will be able to participate in some special tournaments with bigger rewards against top-notch players.
In addition to the core mode, there will be online quick matches, 2v2 or 3v3 modes, and even an offline casual mode!
UFL Licensed Clubs
Currently, it’s been confirmed that eight clubs will be licensed in UFL, including AS Monaco, Rangers, Celtic, Westham United, Besiktas, Shakhtar Donetsk, Sporting, and Borussia Monchengladbach.
The number of licensed clubs might be increased until the game’s launch.
UFL Official Ambassadors
In addition to the clubs, there are some top-notch real-world football players who are featured in UFL, known as Ambassadors. Here is the list:
- Cristiano Ronaldo
- Kevin De Bruyne
- Romelu Lukaku
- Roberto Firmino
- Alexander Zinchenko
UFL currently doesn’t have any target platforms, but it’s going to launch on all major gaming platforms, according to the development team.
