[Watch] Unique 200IQ Run Boost Executed by FURIA Academy on Nuke
One of the more tactical maps in CS:GO, Nuke, offers something that no other competitive map provides – vertical gameplay. It is the verticality factor that makes this particular map stand out from the rest and in turn attracts attention from the more synchronized teams.
However, it is not always the biggest minds or the best teams that come up with new and innovative plays. Recently, FURIA Academy which is the development squad of FURIA Esports executed a brilliant two-man run boost on Nuke taking the CS:GO community by surprise.
It is surely not the best trick in the book, but there is definitely potential to catch the opposition by surprise every now and then. It is useful when the team is running out of ideas or in a tight fix.

FURIA Academy executes a never before seen run boost on Nuke
In their recent face-off against VP.Prodigy on Nuke, FURIA Academy caught their opponents off guard in the 21st round as one of their players was boosted to a location which is generally not accessible by the defending team.
VP.Prodigy had already defeated FURIA Academy twice in the Group Stage and were then facing them in a do-or-die situation in the Play-In Stage. Both the teams had already won their map picks – Mirage for VP.Prodigy and Vertigo for FURIA Academy.
The third map Nuke was crucial for both the sides, however, VP.Prodigy on the back of some strong CT-sided gameplay took a huge ’10-5′ lead by half-time. They continued their momentum and reached map point, this is when FURIA Academy decided to show their trump card and executed the brilliant two man run boost for catching them off-guard.
As soon as the round began two players from FURIA Academy threw two smokes to fake their opponents and then quickly climbed on top of the box in ‘CT Red’. From here they ran a run boost towards ‘Main-Heaven’ and as soon as VP.Prodigy players pushed ‘Yard’, they were caught off-guard from this unexpected angle.
It resulted in two kills for FURIA Academy and that was the only round they managed to win in the second half of the map. They did lose the map and with it the series, resulting in elimination from the tournament. But, this run boost they showcased definitely has potential to be repliacted in matchmaking or maybe by some professional teams as well.
