How to Evolve Rhydon And Get Rhyperior in Pokemon: Legends Arceus
Pokemon Legends: Arceus is finally here and is receiving rave reviews all around the globe.
The title shakes up everything we’ve known about the mainline Pokemon games adding tons of new mechanics, a big open world, a bunch of new Pokemon and much, much more.
Alongside the raft of new creatures, as you’d expect, are a bunch of returning Pokemon from across all of the different generations. However, traditionally, some of them have special evolution methods leaving players to wonder if those methods have returned in Legends: Arceus.
So, with that in mind, let’s take a look at how to evolve your Rhydon into Rhyperior in Pokemon: Legends Arceus.
How to Evolve Rhydon into Rhyperior in Pokemon: Legends Arceus
In previous Pokemon titles, to get a Rhyperior, players have needed to evolve their Rhyhorn into a Rhydon at level 42 and then give their Rhydon the “Protector” item and trade the Pokemon. This would then evolve it into Rhyperior.
Thankfully, its evolution method is exactly the same in Pokemon Legends: Arceus.
Players will be able to catch a Rhyhorn in either the Crimson Mirelands (Bolderoll Slope, Diamond Heath or Shrouded Ruins) and the Coronet Highlands (Celestica Trail or Sacred Plaza). Then following this, get the Pokemon to level 42 to evolve to Rhydon and then trade it while it’s holding a Protector. You can also catch a Rhydon at the Coronet Highlands (Celestica Trail or Sacred Plaza) to skip the Rhyhorn step.
Where to Get A Protector in Pokemon Legends: Arceus
Protectors can be purchased in Pokemon Legends: Arceus for a total of 1,400 MP at the trading post. Alternatively, they can be found as Space-Time Distortion Items.
