In a recent announcement from comms of Riot, Wild Rift is all set to drop the support of specific Apple devices starting from the release of Patch 3.1.

During the development of Wild Rift, devs have to take extra care of all the devices in order to prevent compatibility issues and poor gaming experiences. As the above mentioned Apple devices were released long ago, the devs have to undergo significant extra work to make the game run. Take a look at it on the official announcement page.
The dev team was kind enough to announce it early as the support ends with the release of the next patch. Players who are on this device have ample time to switch to a new device. Here is the official page for the release of the patches which says the upcoming patch, 3.1 is scheduled to release on March 24th.
Additionally, the devs also confirmed the errors that might pop up in those selected Apple devices Wild Rift is ending support. It includes crashes, lags and black screens while playing the game with those devices. As iOS 15 is Wild Rift’s basic requirement, those devices are nearing the end of support from Apple.
Patch 3.1 looks promising as devs are working relentlessly on optimizing the gaming experience and of course rectifying the matchmaking. There has been a lot of trouble lately for the poor matchmaking all over the globe. Thanks to the Wild Rift community to draw the attention of the developers to get it fixed.
