Pokémon Legends: Arceus: How long to finish the game?
Pokémon Legend Arceus is finally out on Nintendo Switch, and you probably want to know if you’re getting what you pay for. With this new opus offering a lot of new things for the franchise, you will indeed spend some time there, especially if filling the Pokédex is your hobby. Here’s how long it takes to finish the story of this Pokémon, but also to reach 100%.
What is the lifespan of Pokémon Legends: Arceus?
Pokémon Legends Arceus is mostly played solo, the good thing is that you won’t need a trade to do everything (although the feature is still there). The title offers a fairly vast adventure with main quests but above all side quests galore and many secrets to discover. Of course, completing the Pokédex will take you some time since you sometimes need to have sufficient research levels to complete certain requests, and even more so if you are a Shiny Pokémon hunter.
Here is the lifespan of Pokémon Legends: Arceus according to our estimates:
- Main story: approximately 25 to 30 hours
- Main story + side quests (including endgame content): 60 hours and more
- Complete the Pokédex with Research Level 10 for each Pokémon: 100+ hours
- Complete the sheets to the maximum: 200 hours and more
In short, the Pokédex sheets will take you a lot of time if you want to increase your chances of getting Shiny Pokémon by completing all the tasks. Researching level 10 for each Pokemon isn’t insurmountable but still takes time as some are rarer than others.
Note that the challenge is also higher for a title in the series. You will therefore sometimes have to go through EXP phases, especially for the last part of the game. You should also not underestimate the quests that will ask you to search in the different areas such as the flames or the Unowns.
