After the massive announcement of the Bungie acquisition, PlayStation fans are going absolutely crazy and the console debate has once again started on social media. Amidst that, Discord has made a surprising announcement which fans are quite curious to learn more about.

In a tweet on their official Twitter handle, Discord states that it will now support game status on PlayStation as well. So basically, if you are playing a game on the PlayStation, it will show that as your status on Discord. This is already a feature on PC, and if you are playing say Rocket League on your PC, your Discord status will be highlighting the same.
Now, this has led many fans to believe that Sony has actually bought Discord. Considering that we had one such announcement earlier today, this seems to make a lot of sense. However, that is not the case at all. This is only a feature that Discord has added and it is in no way connected to Sony buying Discord or anything.
To be able to use the feature, players will need to go to User Settings in Discord and then connect with their PlayStation Network account under the Connections tab. Players will need to login into their PlayStation account and then authorize it. This will link your PSN account with Discord. After you have completed this process, whatever games you play on your PlayStation console will be shown on your Discord status. If for some reason you don’t see the option, you should be able to get it pretty soon as it is still rolling out.
