A Musical Story is a 70’s set rhythm game arriving next month
Developer Glee-Cheese Studio and publisher Digerati have put release dates on their upcoming rhythm game A Musical Story.
The game takes place in the memory of one Gabriel, as he relieves his musical journey through the 1970s. You’ll be rekindling his memories through a series of 26 tracks inspired by the era. Each song links to a specific memory, with you tapping buttons to “feel” the music. Play all of them perfectly, and you’ll even unlock a hidden chapter.
As you can see from the trailer below, the game employs a distinct chalk art style, which has been crafted by Alexandre Ray. Glee-Cheese intend for players to experience the entire story without words, so you’ll explore Gabriel’s journey through music & visuals alone.
There’s a bit of a staggered window to the release schedule. A Musical Story will first arrive on the PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 on March 2. That’ll be followed a day later by the Nintendo Switch on March 3. Finally, the Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC, Mac and iOS versions will round things off on March 4. There’s also a deluxe edition with the game, an official soundtrack and a digital artbook plus wallpapers for PC and Mac.
