Aoi Yuki, Voice of Lumine in Genshin Impact, Is an Ayato Stan

Genshin Impact developer miHoYo officially revealed the drip marketing artwork and profile of Kamisato Ayato – right after the artwork got leaked- and the new Touken Ranbu-esque husbando has been making waves in Japan, with most notably Lumine’s Japanese voice actress Aoi Yuki sharing some Ayato fanart.

Aoi Yuki is one of the most popular seiyuu (Japanese voice actresses and actors) out there. She voiced Sera and Chloe in Sin Chronicle, Platinum The Trinity in BlazBlue, Ichigo in Yumeiro Pâtissière, Amelie in Jewelpet, and Yagyu Jubei in Hyakka Ryouran Samurai Girls, to cite some of her non-mainstream roles you should check out. Yes, you, the one over there only sticking to popular shonen anime like My Hero Academia, where Aoi Yuki voiced Frog Girl.

Like many other seiyuu, Aoi Yuki is also an anime otaku. So obviously she regularly shares her impressions on Genshin Impact and is hyped like any other fan when a new character gets revealed.

Genshin Impact seiyuu Aoi Yuki shares an incredible Ayato fanart on Twitter

Aoi Yuki shared on her Twitter account on February 7 a gorgeous illustration of Kamisato Ayato. It’s not a full-body illustration, but it’s still of impressive quality considering her busy schedule as a top seiyuu. Her tweet reads “My cute Ayaka’s cute brother”. She added in a reply that she plans to draw Xiao next.

Aoi Yuki regularly shares fanart on Twitter and has a pretty neat art style. She launched in 2019 her own original story, Chimera Project, handling its character design and aiming for an anime adaptation to happen one day. Chimera Project just got a manga announced.

Genshin Impact will add Hydro and Sword user Kamisato Ayato as a playable character in Version 2.6 coming on March 30, 2022. Nothing has leaked about Ayato so far except the “kendo pose” crumbs that data miner Dimbreath managed to find and analyze in late 2021. Are you looking forward to Ayato?
