Apex Legends Season 12 Update Release Date & Start Time

After months of waiting, Apex Legends Season 12: Defiance has finally been confirmed and there’s plenty to look forward to with this week’s brand new update.

Not only will Mad Maggie finally make her debut as a playable Legend, but players can also expect a new limited-time mode to arrive with the new season, known as Control. As this is a limited-time-only mode, fans can expect Control to be around for the first three weeks of Season 12, bringing with it a brand new 9v9 experience to mix up the Apex Games.

Apex Legends Season 12 Release Date & Start Time

The official release date for Season 12 of Apex Legends is Tuesday, February 8th, 2022. Fans can expect the new update to go live at 10AM PT / 1PM ET / 6PM GMT.

Players will be required to download a new patch before they can jump into all of the new content included in Season 12: Defiance.

Apex Legends Mad Maggie Abilities & Details

As mentioned previously, Tuesday’s Season 12 update will introduce a brand new Legend to the Apex Games, Mad Maggie.

Mad Maggie, also known as Margaret Kōhere, is a rebel warlord who has been forced to compete in the Apex Games after being apprehended by the Syndicate. Full details of Maggies’ abilities can be found below:

• Tactical Ability
  • Riot Drill – Fire a drill that burns enemies through obstacles.

• Passive Ability
  • Warlord’s Ire – Temporarily highlight enemies you’ve damaged, and move faster with a shotgun.

• Ultimate Ability
  • Wrecking Ball – Throw a ball that releases speed-boosting pads and detonates near enemies.
