Be careful if you buy the starter pack in Lost Ark – you won’t get what you expect

After some problems, the new MMORPG Lost Ark finally went live for everyone today. The Founder’s Packs have disappeared from the shop and have been replaced by new Starter Packs. But be careful when you buy them.

What has changed? With the final launch of Lost Ark, the Founder’s Packs have disappeared from the shop. As of now, you will no longer be able to obtain the pre-order packs and their contents.

There are now starter packages available for purchase in the shop. There are three different ones between €19.99 and €64.99. However, what you actually get in these packages may differ from what you expect. This is due to a very poor description of the content.

What packages are there? There are currently 3 different starter packages in the shop:

• The Apprentice Starter Pack for €19.99
• The Explorer Starter Pack for €34.99
• The Vanquisher Starter Pack for €64.99

The packages come with the following content:

Apprentice Starter Pack:

• 30 days crystal aura
• Support chest for new players

Explorer Starter Pack:

• 30 days crystal aura
• Achatemiau pet selection box, from which you get a pet of your choice
• Dyorika Warhorse, a mount
• Character Expansion Slot
• Support chest for new players

Vanquisher Starter Pack:

• 2,100 Blue Crystals
• 30 days crystal aura
• Achatemiau pet selection box, from which you get a pet of your choice
• Dyorika Warhorse, a mount
• Character Expansion Slot
• Changing the appearance of characters
• Legendary Relationship Gift Selection Chest
• Support chest for new players
• A skin of your choice

Is it worth buying multiple packages? Unlike the pre-order Founder’s Packs, this time it’s not worth buying multiple packs. The only items that can be stacked are the Crystal Aura and the Pet, but it’s not worth spending another €34.99 if you’ve already purchased the largest pack.

Beware of the most expensive package

Where is the problem? Steam currently lists the contents of the largest package individually. Stupidly also all kinds of character skin that you can choose from the chests. This creates the expectation that the package contains all listed skins, which is not the case.

You can only choose one of the listed Alar skins, the rest remain locked and are not part of the package. So watch out here, because €64.99 is currently causing disappointment among players.

Also, much of the pack’s content is tied to the character you redeem it with. So this time you have to be extra careful.

The community is annoyed: the Vanquisher package is currently receiving many negative reviews on Steam. Some players are disappointed that they only received a single skin and complained about the poor communication.

Other users complain that they bought the package but haven’t received it yet. This is because the shop isn’t quite up and running on some servers and the packages are being distributed in phases. So you don’t have to be afraid of not receiving the package.
