Owners of The Dark Pictures Anthology: House of Ashes as well as other previous entries now have free access to the Friend’s Pass. The pass will allow two players to experience the game with only a single copy. The free offer is available until February 28, 2022, on all released consoles and PC. Furthermore, the Curator’s Cut for House of Ashes — originally a pre-order bonus — is also now available for everyone.

Experience House of Ashes through co-op using the Friend’s Pass

The Friend’s Pass is available in House of Ashes, as well as the past two titles Little Hope and Man of Medan. The pass allows two players to participate in one full playthrough of the game’s Multiplayer Shared Story mode. More importantly, it only requires one of the users to own the full version of the game. The other player will still have to have downloaded the trial version of the corresponding game, however. Additionally, both players must be playing on the same platform.

House of Ashes now comes with the Curator’s Cut unlocked. The mode offered a different perspective to the game’s story but was initially reserved for those who pre-ordered the game. It also adds new choices, scenes, and playable characters. Now, so long as you fully complete the game’s story in the standard Theatrical Cut, you can now experience the game in a whole new way. If you’re interested in learning more, you can check out our official review of the game on the PS5.

In other news, reports indicate that Quantic Dream’s upcoming title Star Wars: Eclipse will have combat that is reminiscent of The Last of Us series. Evil Dead: The Game has also been delayed to a May 2022 release date.
