DC’s Wonder Twins Movie In Development For HBO Max – Report
Warner Bros. is reportedly developing a Wonder Twins movie, according to The Hollywood Reporter. According to that publication, Adam Sztykiel (Black Adam) has been hired to write and direct an original live-action feature for HBO Max based on the DC characters who originated in 1977.
No plotline details for the proposed project, which as of this writing is simply titled Wonder Twins, have been released. Given the characters, it is safe to assume a few things–like that the film would follow the alien siblings of Zan and Jayna who, by touching hands, can respectively transform into water in any state and any animal. In the original comics, the pair also have a pet monkey, Gleek, who has a stretchable tail.
Marty Bowen and Wyck Godfrey of Temple Hill will produce. Past projects from the film and television production company include The Twilight Saga, The Maze Runner, Fault in Our Stars, and Love, Simon.
