It is just a matter of time until the Regional Finals of the Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) 2021-22 take place, bringing back some high stakes Dota 2 action. With a lot on the line in terms of money along with the chance to win the coveted DPC points, three regions – Western Europe (WEU), Southeast Asia (SEA), and South America (SA) – will begin with their Regional Finals on 11th Feb.

Thunder Awaken (formerly Thunder Predator) will be watched closely in the Regional Finals in South America, as the team was outstanding and stayed undefeated in Tour 1. It lost just one game in seven series. The other three teams were in a close race, and it will be exciting to see if they can rise to the occasion and bring down Thunder Awaken. DPC SA 2021-22 Regional Finals: All that you need to know Team list

The top four teams from DPC SA 2021-22 Tour 1: Division 1 booked a spot in the Regional Finals.

  1. Thunder Awaken

  2. Infamous

  3. Beastcoast

  4. APU Kings of Kings

Prize Pool and DPC points distribution

In each Regional Final, there will be a total prize pool of $100,000 USD and 380 DPC points at stake. Here is how they will be rewarded.

  • 1st – $50,000, 250 points

  • 2nd – $25,000, 130 points

  • 3rd – $15,000, 0 points

  • 4th – $10,000, 0 points

Format (11th-13th Feb)

The four teams will play in a playoff format over a three-day period.

  • Double elimination bracket

  • All series are Bo3s, except for the grand final

  • Bo5 grand final

Schedule

A total of six series will take place in the event over the course of three days.

The Regional Finals come in place of the first Major of the DPC 2021-22, which had to be canceled due to the problems posed by the ongoing global pandemic. The top four teams from each of the six regions were invited to participate in these events.

After this weekend’s WEU, SEA, and SA Regional Finals, the other three regions – North America, China, and Eastern Europe – will be playing theirs from 18th to 20th Feb.
