Final Fantasy VII Remake Part 2 Is Planned for Reveal This Year
According to a report by VGC, Final Fantasy VII part 2 is planned for reveal this year. Yoshinori Kitase, the original director of the game, said that it is his intention to reveal the game sequel later in the year. He said “We are hard at work on Final Fantasy VII: Ever Crisis, so please look forward to that. In addition, with regards to the long-awaited Final Fantasy VII Remake [Part 2]… there will be more information… this year if we can.”
When asked about the sequel he replied “Well yeah. We just started the 25th anniversary of Final Fantasy VII, so we want to celebrate and get fans excited, so within the next 12 months we want to share some information. Look forward to more information!”
So, it’s about time we get hyped up for the next Final Fantasy VII Remake.
Final Fantasy VII Remake
Final Fantasy VII Remake was released to critical acclaim back in 2020 on the Playstation 4. A year later it was released on the Playstation 5 and the on the Epic Games Store on PC. While an exclusivity deal with Epic is currently in place, the game will be coming to Steam as soon as the deal ends. In that way, players from all platforms can play this amazing game.
Recently, the original Final Fantasy VII marked its 25th anniversary. There were a few posts from the official account celebrating this momentous landmark. Yoshinori Kitase and Tetsuya Nomura had messages for the fans celebrating this occasion. They also mentioned that there are even more Final Fantasy VII projects coming in the future.

The Remake of the game and the First Soldier have already been released with Ever Crisis coming in the near future. Ever Crisis will cover the whole of the FF7 timeline including the remake and the compilation titles. So, after the developers are done with this game, then they can shift their focus on the Part 2 remake. We can expect any news regarding Part 2 during the middle part of the year. But at this point, it’s just speculation.
Final Fantasy VII Part 2 Details
There are not a whole lot of details regarding Final Fantasy Remake Part 2 at the moment. What we know for sure is Naoki Hamaguchi, who co-directed Part 1 will return along with Nomura as the creative director. Nomura also said that unlike Part 1, the sequel will take advantage of the Playstation 5’s unique hardware features.
It seems that the future is definitely bright and full of hope regarding Final Fantasy VII. We can surely expect a sequel that will fully capture the vision of the creators and the fans.
