Fortnite’s Latest Update On Nintendo Switch Adds Motion Aiming And “Flick Stick” Controls
Epic Games’ Fortnite has been one of the most popular and most discussed games around for a long time now, and the developer has capitalized on this popularity by making the game available on as many platforms as possible such as Nintendo Switch, Android, iOS (now blacklisted), and even a separate Chinese version.
With the game’s latest update on the Nintendo Switch, Fortnite has added support for motion aiming and flight stick controls – allowing for greater flexibility when aiming. When motion controls are turned on, players would be able to make adjustments to thier aim using the controller’s gyro sensor. When Flight Stick controls are turned on, the right analog stick will be used to quickly flick in a certain direction following which players will use gyro-aim to make fine adjustments to their aim. Additionally, there have been a couple of bug fixes and changes to the game’s competitive mode.
Fortnite‘s Chapter 3 has been met with great enthusiasm from fans, and additions like the friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man have been surprisingly good. However, fans planning to play the game on the upcoming Steam Deck might be disappointed – as Epic Games CEO Tim Sweeney has already confirmed the game to be incompatible with the hardware.
