G2 Esports Swaps Nexa for Aleksib With OG, Both Teams Complete CS:GO Roster for 2022
G2 Esports swapped Nemanja “nexa” Isaković for Aleksi “Aleksib” Virolainen with OG Esports on 23rd January. With the completion of this exchange, both teams have finalized their CS:GO rosters for the upcoming 2022 season.
G2 in addition to obtaining a new IGL (in-game leader) has also announced the signing of a new head coach, Rémy “XTQZZZ” Quoniam, who shall now move out of the French scene to join the European mix.
It was an emotional farewell for Aleksib as he was considered to be the founder of OG’s CS:GO lineup, having built the team from the ground up in December 2019.
Both the teams will be seen in action at the upcoming BLAST Premier: Spring Groups 2022. While G2 starts its campaign against Complexity Gaming on 28th January, OG will be going up against Astralis a day later.

G2 Esports has booked its final player for the upcoming season by exchanging nexa for Aleksib with OG. G2 has also signed XTQZZZ as their new coach and shall be moving out of the French scene for the very first time.
XTQZZZ has expressed that despite switching to a new team and working with new players, his goals remain the same. The 33-year-old further said that he cannot wait to show how strong this team is next week, as they take on Complexity Gaming, BIG, and Ninjas in Pyjamas at BLAST Premier: Spring Groups 2021.

For the 2022 season, G2 Esports comprises of the core of Nikola “NiKo” Kovač, Nemanja “huNter-“ Kovač, and Audric “JACKZ” Jug. The organization has also signed a dedicated AWPer with Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov joining their lineup.

On the other hand, OG has only made one big change as they bring in nexa in place of Aleksib while keeping the rest of the roster intact. The organization did not enjoy the best season last year but they continue to show faith in their lineup.
