GTA 5 Has Now Sold-In 160 Million Copies Worldwide Since 2013

Grand Theft Auto 5 has sold-in 160 million copies worldwide since its launch in 2013, Take-Two has announced during its latest financial report.

In addition to the above, the figures reveal that GTA 5 reached one billion dollars in retail sales faster than any entertainment release in history. It’s also the best-selling game of the decade in the US based on unit and dollar sales.

The success of the Rockstar Games’ crime opus brings overall sales of the Grand Theft Auto franchise to 370 million worldwide, cementing it was one of the best-selling series of all time.

The success of GTA 5 is only likely to continue in the coming months, as the game is slated to appear on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S (alongside GTA Online) on March 15, 2022.

Rockstar Games confirmed last week that work is already well underway on Grand Theft Auto 6, although a release date continues to remain elusive.
