Hitman 3 players are getting free upgrades after issues with the Steam release
A year after its release as an Epic Games Store exclusive, Hitman 3 has now made its way over to Steam. However, the January 2021 release wasn’t the celebration that developer IO Interactive had hoped it to be. For starters, players were upset to see a higher price point than that seen on the Epic Games Store. There was also confusion surrounding Hitman 3‘s many editions and upgrades on Steam. It’s safe to say that Steam users haven’t given the warmest of welcomes to Hitman 3. IO Interactive has decided to release free upgrades as a way of appeasing any upset players. Announced on IO Interactive’s support site for Hitman 3, the dev addressed the issues that Steam users have had. Anyone that currently owns the game, or purchases it from now until February 19, will be entitled to a free upgrade.
