Horizon Forbidden West Tallneck LEGO Set Confirmed for May
At the end of December, a Horizon Tallneck LEGO set was rumored to be nearing release after a listing appeared briefly on a retailer website. Those rumors have now been confirmed after LEGO and PlayStation revealed the Horizon Forbidden West Tallneck set as one of their LEGO sets for adults.
When will the Horizon Forbidden West LEGO set be released?
LEGO Set 76989 Horizon Forbidden West: Tallneck will be released on May 1, 2022. The set features a 13.5″ Tallneck complete with weak points highlighted in blue, climbable points highlighted in yellow, and the disc-shaped head with red override point. The Tallneck can be displayed on a stand featuring a typical Horizon post-apocalyptic environment that has a rusty traffic light, birch tree and the tall red grass that offer Aloy a place to hide. Of course, there will also be an Aloy minifigure equipped with her bow and spear, as well as a Watcher figure with exchangeable red, yellow, and blue eyes.
The Lego for Adults set is rated 18+ and comes with 1,222 pieces. The instruction booklet will even include the inside story of how the designers created the model. LEGO Model Designer Isaac Snyder said:
I fell in love with Horizon Zero Dawn the first time I played it. It’s a futuristic world full of gorgeous scenery, strong characters, threatening machines, and a rich story. The Guerrilla designers were a huge inspiration and help in capturing the spirit of this universe in LEGO form. The Horizon fan community is so creative, and this model is dedicated to their passion and imagination.
In other news, Netflix announced they are making a BioShock movie in collaboration with 2K and Take-Two Interactive. Details are scarce for now but we’re hoping the series is done in time to coincide with the release of the new BioShock game. Elsewhere, Avalanche Studios is rumored to be making Mad Max 2.
