In this guide, we explain how to get Basculegion, the new evolution of Basculin in Pokémon Legends: Arceus for Nintendo Switch.

Have you started playing Pokémon Legends: Arceus? The new installment of the popular Game Freak saga is now available for Nintendo Switch and is accompanied by a lot of news and changes under the arm.

When trying to complete the Pokédex, you may have noticed that there are several Pokémon whose method of evolution is not as simple as leveling up or using an item, especially in the case of new Pokémon.

Such is the case with Basculegion, the new evolution of Basculin in Pokémon Legends: Arceus. You probably know Basculegion because it’s one of the Pokémontures that we can get in the game, but as in the case of Wyrdeer and the rest, having the mount does not mean having the Pokémon.

And since it requires a special method, in this guide we are going to explain how to get Basculegion.

The first step, of course, is to catch a Basculin. It is a water Pokémon, and as such, you will find it in the lakes and seas of Hisui… And to navigate you will need Basculegion (mount). You can find Basculin in Bahía Silente (Cobalt Coast), Costa Ínsola (Cobalt Coast), Fairy Fountain (Ladera Corona), Lago Agudeza (Tundra Alba) and Peñasco Espiritu (Tundra Alba).

Catching Basculin is the easy part; now comes the hard part. For Basculin to evolve into Basculegion, you must make the Pokémon take 300 damage of its own. What does this mean? That you must use movements that also cause damage to the Pokémon that make them accumulate 300 points.

Luckily, Basculin usually has moves like Water Slam or Double Edge, so head to a place like Obsidian Meadow and use them until you get Basculin to rack up 300 damage of his own. It doesn’t have to be in the same fight, but make sure to use healing items or rest so he doesn’t get weaker.

As soon as you reach the number you will see that the option to perform the evolution appears, it is not necessary to level up.
