Valorant is the first-person shooter game from the Creators of League of Legends — Riot. It took the world by storm when it was released in 2020 and has been one of the most played FPS games since. What makes Valorant unique is their agents’ roster with their own skill sets. Mastering the agents is one of the keys to fully mastering and enjoying the game. This will prove difficult because unlocking agents in Valorant is neither easy nor cheap. The agents are divided into four types: Duelist, Sentinel, Initiator, and Controller. If you want to learn more about Sentinels, we have you covered.

How to Use Sentinel Chamber

Sentinels are agents who play defense and are often in the back lines to utilize their abilities fully. The description in the game reads :

“Sentinels are defensive experts who can lock down areas and watch flanks, both on the attacker and defender rounds.”

This is how Riot describes Sentinels. They are the backbone of any team fight and heavily rely on healing and tactical zone defense. They have slow-paced abilities that often decide between victory and defeat.

That said, there are a total of four Sentinels in the game, each with their own set of game-changing abilities: Sage, Cypher, Killjoy, and Chamber. Therefore, each of them has different skills and their specialty and playstyle. Chamber was added recently to the delight of the Valorant fanbase.

Let’s check one of these Sentinels out and help you figure out if he will suit your playstyle.

Chamber

Vincent Fabron, also known as Chamber, is a fashionable assassin hired by the radiant team from France as the 18th agent of Valorant Protocol. This sharply-dressed agent is a weapons expert and comes with a fresh new set of abilities and weapons to utilize. He recommended Neon to be part of the Valorant Protocol — the 19th and latest agent added to the team. The weapons this French Assassin brings make Sheriff and Operator users jump in joy. Having a set of abilities that extend his arsenal of weapons, Chamber is a deadly agent for a Sentinel role.

This sharp dresser may have utilities similar to some weapons, but his signature skills will still need some getting used to with a lot of practice. Being able to pop up between spots and slow down enemies for intel and setups, Chamber is a welcome addition to the Sentinels in Valorant. Let us check out his skills to help you decide if he is a potential main agent for you.

Skills Trademark – 150 credits

Chamber can deploy a small trap that scans for enemy presence when you press C. Once it detects an enemy in proximity, it will detonate to destabilize the area and slow everyone caught in it for 9.5 seconds. When the trap is triggered, Chamber will be notified, and all allies will see the indication of the triggered trap in the minimap.

This is a great ability to avoid being flanked and taken by surprise. Trademark is also great for delaying enemy pushes on narrow corridors by slowing everyone passing through the affected area. This trap can be destroyed, but it is small enough to be deployed in corners and not be seen easily. There is an audio cue when the trap is near, and about to detonate, so if you move fast enough, you can avoid the trap altogether.

Use the map to your advantage and deploy these traps on tactical locations to ensure enemies are located and slowed. It will require you to be well-versed with the different maps in the game. Nothing a little practice and binge-playing will not fix.

Headhunter – 100 credits per bullet

When you press Q, Chamber equips a heavy pistol. While this weapon is greatly similar to the Sheriff in many ways, it has an Aim Down Sights feature making it a notch higher than the purchasable pistol. You can purchase a maximum of 8 bullets for 100 credits each. This makes for a great eco-round utility and equips you with a strong pistol without purchasing the much more expensive Sheriff.

Headhunter does considerable damage at 156 to the head, 55 to the body, and 46 to the legs. This guarantees a one-shot kill with every headshot. If you are familiar with the Sheriff sidearm, then using Headhunter will not demand a lot of adjustments.

cha4cha7Rendevous – Free

This is the signature skill of Chamber. Pressing E deploys a teleport anchor on the ground enabling Chamber to teleport instantly between two anchors. The anchor has a visible area of effect that enables Chamber to teleport whenever in the vicinity. Rendevous can be redeployed and destroyed by enemy fire and agent abilities with a hp of 80 points.

Whenever Chamber is near the Rendevous anchor, his vest changes to color gold, indicating he can teleport at any time. A gold vignette can also indicate this on your screen. The teleportation is instant, but the arrival takes a second of animation, leaving you vulnerable to attacks when enemies are aware of your teleportation anchor.

There is also an audio cue whenever you teleport that enemies can hear, so be careful where you plant your Rendevous. Using this effectively can make you an unpredictable force to be reckoned with.

cha1Tour De Force – 7 Ultimate Orbs

This is the Ultimate Skill of Chamber. Pressing X will equip Chamber with a powerful, custom rifle that deals massive damage. Tour De Force guarantees a sure kill when aimed at the body. In addition to the high damage output, the custom rifle will slow the area when it hits a target, similar to the lingering Trademark effects.

Unlike Raze’s ultimate, Tour De Force can be used without time limits for the entire duration of the round. It has a faster ADS time than the Operator and deals a sure kill even if the bullet hits the tip of the legs. The only drawback to an otherwise overpowered weapon is its no wall penetration properties. This gives players a top-tier sniper rifle without spending hard-earned credits.

cha3cha9Chamber Bonus Tips

  • Rendevous and Trademark shine in defense. Chamber’s skills make him shine when defending sites as it enables him to dertect enemies and teleport to another location when in a pinch.
  • Practice your Gunplay. Chamber’s Headhunter and Tour De Force relies on your crosshair palcement and gunplay techniques. So make sure to practice your aim!
  • Go Eco Rounds for your team. Since Chamber’s abilities give him powerful weapons in his arsenal, then it is a good idea to save your money to support your teammates in purchasing weapons.

Do you think Chamber is for you? His skills make him great for defending, which highlights his Sentinel role. Despite being great at defense, his other abilities equip him with weapons that outrank any weapons in the current weapon pool in Valorant.

When played with unpredictability, this French Assassin is hard to catch by surprise. If you like a patience-dependent agent that requires great crosshair placement and good aim, then Chamber is the agent you have been waiting for.
