HellRaisers put together a pair of comprehensive performances during the Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) Eastern Europe (EEU) 2021-22 Regional Finals to take down favorites Team Spirit. The series lasted three games but HellRaisers proved to be the better team on all counts in the first and third games. In both of these games, the team was at its best at all times, never let the ball drop once, and outperformed Team Spirit. HellRaisers advances to the upper bracket final as a result, while Team Spirit, which concedes its first series loss in the DPC 2021-22, falls to the lower bracket of the Regional Finals.

Team Spirit vs HellRaisers: Match Recap and Highlights

Recap

In game 1, HellRaisers switched things up in the drafting stage by taking an offlane Magnus as its last pick and placing Mars in the midlane to counter Yatoro’s Phantom Lancer. In the early phases of the game, HellRaisers covered the mid and safelanes with excellent play. The fact that Lightless’ lane was not the strongest was offset by the fact that he empowered both his carry Troll Warlord and mid Magnus into becoming extremely effective heroes. As a result, HellRaisers also had answers to Yatoro’s Phantom Lancer and won in 34 minutes.

Game 2 saw Team Spirit exploit HellRaisers’ lack of stuns and initiation to its fullest capacity. While the laning stage was rather quiet, Team Spirit, thanks to each of its five heroes having a stun, moved effectively across the map to pick off enemies. After having played reactive Dota 2, HellRaisers found some kills, but the enemies always got better trades. Gradually losing control, HellRaisers tapped out in 31 minutes.

Game 3 was HellRaisers’ best showing so far in the series. Drafting a fast-paced lineup comprised of a carry Razor, a mid Outworld Destroyer, and an offlane Lycan, HellRaisers hit the ground running and overwhelmed Team Spirit. It was clear that the team was determined to shut down Collapse’s Mars. By the eighth minute mark, he had died four times, drastically reducing his item timing. As a result, Team Spirit’s relatively greedier draft was unable to make moves, so HellRaisers pounced on the opportunity and extended its lead. The team did not give Team Spirit any room to recover and won in 38 minutes.
