Pokemon Go’s next Spotlight Hour is bringing back quite a familiar Pokemon, and that is none other than Koffing. As usual, players are wondering if there is a shiny Koffing in the game or not.

This month, we have had some exciting events, starting with the Lunar Year. We had Valentine’s event soon after that, followed by a Community Day. Now, it is time for the weekly spotlight hour.

Is There a Shiny Koffing in Pokemon GO February 2022 Spotlight Hour?

The third spotlight hour for the month of February will be featuring Koffing as the featured Pokemon. The event will kick off on Tuesday, February 15th, at 6 pm local time and will be lasting until 7 pm local time. When it comes to the other bonuses for the event, players will be getting twice the amount of experience as they do normally while catching Pokemon. This is quite good for players who are looking to get their hand on a Koffing, or just want to farm some experience points.

Koffing is a Poison-type Pokemon that was added back in Generation and hails all the way from the Kanto region. Players who have watched the anime might be quite familiar with Koffing, considering the fact that it was a part of Team Rocket with James having a Koffing. Koffing evolves from Weezing.

Finally, coming to the most important part, the shiny status of the Pokemon in the game. Well, there is some good news this time around as a Shiny Koffing is indeed available in the game. We have not received shiny Pokemon in some of the other Spotlight Hours, but this time it is not the case. That being said, shiny rates aren’t boosted so it still depends on a lot on your luck as well.
