Lord Of The Rings Fan Wants To Make A Hobbiton In Wisconsin Where You Can Sleep, Eat, And Tend Gardens

A Lord of the Rings-themed bed & breakfast/park modeled after Hobbiton could be coming to Wisconsin, and while the concept sounds intriguing, it’s still very early days.

A new experience called Hobbiton Stay Wisconsin has been announced, with organizer Rebecca Alm–a self-described “fan with a plan”–outlining a vision for what the place could be.

Hobbiton Stay Wisconsin is aiming to offer guests the opportunity to visit Hobbiton without traveling to New Zealand. It’s described as a “fully functional Hobbiton” featuring underground dwellings, gardens, a lake, paths through the woods, and a recreation of the Green Dragon Inn to grab a pint.
