Lost Ark: How to farm gold quickly
Gold is one of the most important currencies in Lost Ark . In this guide, we’re going to look at how to farm gold quickly in Lost Ark.
Earn gold
There are two very lucrative ways to earn lots of gold in Lost Ark. For both, having at least one other character (alt) is helpful. Both must be in Tier 3 (in German “class” 3) with their average item level in order to be able to get the most out of it.
The two best methods are:
- Abyss Dungeons
- Una’s tasks
Abyss Dungeons
Abyssal Dungeons, especially Tier 3, yield a lot of gold. You can collect the reward here once per character per week. These are the gold rewards we expect to get in Europe:

In Tier 3 you have to decide whether you want to play the dungeons on Normal or Hard. You can only take the rewards from one of them. If you can do both on difficult, that’s 7,000 gold per character per week for the two-tier 3 dungeons alone. In normal mode, it’s still a whopping 2,400 gold.
There is a notice in the EU client that there is a weekly gold limit of 6. I’m guessing this means that we only get gold from the first 6 Abyss Dungeons cleared.
If this gold limit is character-specific and not roster-wide, that would be up to 9,000 gold per week per character. So 3 tier 3 characters could earn you 27,000 gold per week.
If the gold limit is related to the squad (i.e. all characters on the server), it would be up to 21,000 gold per week if you have 3 or more characters in Tier 3.
It remains to be seen if gold rewards will be disabled if your item level is too high. I’ll update all info after release.
Una’s tasks
Completing Urna’s tasks, the daily quests in Lost Ark earn you points. If you reach a certain threshold of points, you can pick up Una’s tokens.
How many tokens you get per milestone depends on which tier (class) the average item level your character falls into:

The weekly reset resets your points. That means you ideally want to reach 70 points every week and pick up your stamps. Here, too, alts help – i.e. second characters. Each weekly quest gives 12 points and you can do 3 per character.
Ie with 2 characters and 3 weekly quests each you can earn the maximum number of tokens.
Once you have collected 500 Una’s Tokens, you can buy a Large Gold Chest from a Gold Shop. Here you have a chance that a gold bar is included. He’ll give you a whopping 10,000 gold. In addition, you receive gold from the chest regardless of whether you were lucky enough to get the ingot.
Sell dungeon carries
Do you have a very well-equipped character and know the important raids by heart? If you do them solo, you can start selling runs for gold.
This could be a percentage of the reward your “customers” will receive or a fixed price that you agree on beforehand. Some players will be more interested in gear than gold for their character and will be happy with a carry offer.
But it remains to be seen whether selling the few Tier 3 content that we have for the release is already worthwhile and possible. It may be that this only becomes attractive when the achievable item level is significantly higher – i.e. more Tier 3 content is unlocked.
Other Revenue Sources
The above options are efficient methods to directly farm a lot of gold in Lost Ark. You also get gold for other content, but this is less lucrative or less predictable.
An example is chaos dungeons. With luck, a golden portal can spawn here, which is good for making gold. However, since you can’t influence it (other than doing a lot of chaos dungeons), this isn’t really a method for making a lot of gold.
Also, islands often have gold rewards. Take these with you when you’re out and about. Going the extra mile to do these quests just for the gold is not a “gold-making strategy.” But becoming rich is still part of taking advantage of such opportunities.
Another good method is to farm Tier 3 content and sell the better drops (jewelry, engraving recipes, etc) on the auction house. This should not be underestimated in terms of gold potential but could become difficult in the release time because we are all still broke and cannot buy anything.
