Lost Ark Power Leveling Guide: Quickly level up to level 50
By the second character in Lost Ark at the latest, you probably just want to get to 50 quickly. If we’re being honest, most of us will feel that way from the very first character. You can find out how to do this and what you need to watch out for in our quick leveling guide to Lost Ark.
Choose a class
First, you have to choose a class and create a character.
Optimizes skilling
You can change your skills without any costs or other stumbling blocks. You don’t have to go to an NPC or something like that.
This makes trying out new skills very easy, and you can start leveling up without worrying too much about which skills you want to improve and in what order as you level up.
It is usually important that you concentrate on one skill after the other. It’s almost always better to fully upgrade a skill before moving on to the next skill. The damage increase from fully upgraded skills is just too good.
If you do want to come up with a plan, you can find leveling guides for each class here. The leveling guides show you step by step which skills to choose for maximum leveling speed and how to boost them.
The progression is based on recommendations from players who have had years of experience in South Korea and are internationally recognized as experts.
Skip prologue
The prologue is a kind of tutorial. Since leveling to 50 is also a tutorial, you can safely skip the prologue.
If you want to do it for the lore, for example, you should plan about 20 minutes for it.
Also, there is the Arthetinian Engineering Goggles (a cosmetic item) as a reward when you complete the prologue. however, you can later create a new character of the same class type, complete the prologue, and then pass the reward on to your main character.
How to level up fast
In principle, it’s easier in Lost Ark than in almost all MMORPGs I’ve ever played. To do this, you need to know two things:
- Killing opponents gives horribly little XP.
- Side quests do not give worthwhile XP.
- The main story is designed in such a way that the sum of the quest rewards goes exactly up to level 50. *
This means if you want to level up fast you just focus on the main story quests and ignore everything else. Along the way, you also only kill enemies that are necessary for your current quest
You can recognize main quests by their symbols:
Icon for main story quests up to level 36 (first continent).
After that, the icon will change to the World Quest icon.
Rarely will you encounter doors that only open once the associated enemies have been eliminated? In those cases, you have to kill a few more mobs accordingly.
If you come to dungeons, you always do them on the easier level of difficulty and at most once. Soloing the dungeons is more efficient for most classes since the enemies scale with the group size.
Quests you shouldn’t skip
If this is your first character you should remember the following quests. Complete them as soon as you are nearby:
- “What’s a Name?” by Neria in Prideholme
- “Mercenary Registration” by Basilock in Drypath with its follow-up quests.
These two quests give you Charisma points. If you’re trying to get your item level up to 50 in the shortest amount of time, we have a Lost Ark Island Farm route for upgrade materials. There is no faster way. But for a specific quest in the guide, you need the charisma of the above two quests.
Tips while leveling
Are you on your way now and just following the main story? Then there are a few small tips that will make you a little faster:
- Use your mount with the hotkey. And uses it often.
- Use your Movement Skills on cooldown when you can’t ride.
- Skip cutscenes. In the EU release, more cutscenes will be skippable than ever before (in closed beta, PTS, other regions).
- Activate automatic riding to get to the quest objective. Use this time to sort your inventory or read tooltips. There are quite a lot of travel times that you can use for this.
- You can use fast travel from anywhere. Also, use it at the end of dungeons if you are faster with fast travel than via the exit of the dungeon.
- Only use gray healing potions and save the green and blue potions for later content like raids.
Conclusion
With changes we made to Lost Ark prior to release, leveling is faster and easier than ever. Once you have reached 50, continue with the first steps at level 50.
The leveling tips in this guide are designed to get you leveling up as quickly as possible. Of course, you have the option of using only individual points and adapting everything to your preferences.
