Mario Strikers is a massive classic and fan-favorite game series, one that many players thought we would never see revisited again. Thankfully, however, Nintendo surprised everyone by revealing Mario Strikers Battle League at Nintendo Direct!
Here’s what we know about the new Mario Strikers game from its release date and pre order info to its gameplay and new features.
Release Date
Mario Strikers Battle League is coming to Nintendo Switch on June 10th, 2022. This surprise has already stolen the show at Nintendo Direct and will be many Nintendo fans’ most anticipated title of 2022.
Gameplay & New Features
The Mario Strikers Battle League gameplay trailer shown off at Nintendo Direct included a few clips of gameplay as well as some elaboration on new changes to the game. This includes customization of your team and their stats, new special moves, Hyper Strikes, multiplayer options, as well as some other new features along the way.
The game will feature multiplayer both online and locally, allowing up to 8 players to play at the same time!

Multiplayer Clubs
Mario Strikers: Battle League will feature multiplayer Clubs supporting up to 20 players to battle out with others online for points.
These Clubs will run Seasons with teams fighting to climb the table to the very end. We aren’t sure just yet if this will include playoffs, but will update as this information is made available.
For players that want to join together on the pitch for the same team, the game will support up to 8 players with 4 allowed per team in individual matches.
Pre Order
Mario Strikers Battle League is available for pre order today on the Nintendo E-Shop with a pricetag of $59.99, so you can secure your copy now for Nintendo Switch!
The game’s file size clocks in at 3GB, so you may need to clear some hard drive space before picking the game up.
Platforms
Mario Strikers Battle League is available on the Nintendo Switch, though (while unlikely) other platforms may be revealed closer to the game’s launch later this year.
It will be available for online and local multiplayer, but online play will require Nintendo membership.
