In Pokémon Legends: Arceus, catching the monsters is the focus. You’ll be rewarded for catching as many Pokémon as possible. In this way, you have to, among other things, complete your Pokédex or earn money. This ensures that your boxes are stuffed full of monsters that you don’t even need. So here we explain how you can release Pokémon.

Release Pokémon one at a time

There are two ways to send your Pokémon back into the wild:

  • In Jubeldorf there is the pasture south of the main gate. Here Agnes takes care of all your monsters and you get access to the Pokémon boxes from her. Then select the Pokemon you no longer want and click Release.
  • If you’re on an expedition, you can talk to the Galactic member staying at each base camp to get access to the boxes as well. You can also release your monsters if you are exploring an area and therefore do not want to return to Jubilee Village.

If you release Pokémon, they may leave you an achievement item. So either performance sand, performance gravel, performance stone or performance rock. The stronger/rare the Pokemon, the more valuable the item . With the performance items you can improve the performance level of your monsters and thus increase the status values.

How do you release multiple Pokémon at the same time?

While the boxes have the option to mark multiple Pokémon (press Y twice), this only allows you to move them within the boxes and not release them. This is a bit irritating, but don’t worry: as you progress through the game, you’ll unlock the option to release multiple monsters.

To do this, you must first fill a few boxes with Pokémon . If you then talk to Agnes by the pasture, she will let you know that you can also release several monsters from now on. To do this, you have to press the X button and then you can mark all the Pokémon that you no longer want. Then press X again to confirm your choice.

Unlock new boxes

Initially you only have 8 boxes, so you can store a total of 240 Pokémon. However, you will automatically unlock more boxes later, and you will have 16 in total , allowing you to catch twice as many monsters.
