The Wolf Among Us 2 Revealed At Last

It’s taken its sweet time, after many ups and downs and the ever present fear that this story would not continue, but yesterday telltale Games revealed The Wolf Among Us 2 along with a trailer and release year.

Coming to PC and console in 2023, The Wolf Among Us 2, based on the DC comics Fables series, will return us to the dour sheriff Bigby Wolf as he gets involved with another case.

For those unfamiliar with the series, they take place in New York City and reveal the underground world of fable characters (Bigby of course being based on the wolf from Little Red Riding Hood) and their struggles to survive and keep their secrets hidden from day to day society.

The original is a classic telltale game of The Walking Dead ilk, which sees you explore within a narrative adventure – some action to be had, interaction with the environment, but more key are the dialogue decisions made throughout.

Unfortunately, The Wolf Among Us sequel was not a priority for telltale at the time, who chose to pursue the titles Minecraft Story Mode and Tales from the Borderlands, but clearly the initial and continuing fandom of the game has prevailed and we can now look forward to carrying on this noir adventure.

The trailer shows Bigby talking in a group, being questioned about his history of violence – perhaps he’s been reprimanded and forced to do group therapy or something along those lines – and while it doesn’t reveal much, is worth the watch for the cool brawl that takes place as he’s being talked to.

2023 is still a while off, but hopefully it will be worth the wait as we return to telltales most intriguing world and characters.
