Tom Holland’s Uncharted Movie Is a Hit as Global Tickets Estimated at $132 Million

Update: It looks like Uncharted has made back its enormous production budget, with Box Office Report pegging the film’s global take at around ~$132.2 million through Sunday, following its launch in Europe last week and North America this week. All in all it’s a surprisingly astronomical early figure for the film, which now looks poised to make a tidy profit for Sony Pictures.

According to early reports, Uncharted hauled $44.16 million in its three-day opening weekend in North America, outperforming estimates, with President’s Day still likely to add substantially to that tally through Monday. In other words, a sequel is looking extremely likely right now.
