2022 could be one of the best years for DC fans, thanks to all the upcoming projects coming out this year. These include Batman, Black Adam, Aquaman 2, and The Flash, and we’ll be starting the year with Robert Pattinson’s first movie as Batman. However, DC fans are also excited to see Black Adam entering the massive universe.

Of course, we’ve yet to see a full-fledged trailer for Black Adam; however, the recent teaser does give us a decent look at some characters, including Dr. Fate.

Doctor Fate in Black Adam Movie Explained

In DC comics, Doctor Fate isn’t a single character; in fact, this title belongs to a series of characters who get unparalleled magical powers. Over the years, several successors got possession of Doctor Fate’s immense powers; however, it all started with Kent Nelson, the version who will reportedly appear in the Black Adam movie.

Kent Nelson got the magical powers by getting trained under Nabu the Wise. Kent first revives Nabu the Wise from his tomb and learns everything from him for several years. After that, Nabu hands over the magical helmet, cloak, and amulet to Kent. Kent uses his magic to fight crime, and interestingly, he was one of those heroes who laid the foundation of JSA (Justice Society of America).

Pierce Brandon Brosnan will portray Kent Nelson’s version of Doctor Fate in the upcoming Black Adam movie. You might recognize the actor for his incredible performance in several big projects, including four James Bond movies.
