He was the elder brother of Yoriichi Tsugikuni, the greatest Demon Slayer of all time. In the current time, he is the ancestor of Muichiro Tokito, Mist Breathing Hashira of the Demon Slayer Corps.

Being the most powerful of all the Twelve Kizuki, Kokushibo can figure out the combat techniques of two Hashiras at a time and overpower them in a battle. While fighting the two, he even learned the ability to stay alive even after getting his head decapitated, which leaves the sun as his only weakness.
