Witcher 3 — How to Get Basic Feline Witcher Gear
The Witcher 3 is one of the most popular games of our generation. It is the perfect mix of combat, crafting, exploration, decision-based story outcomes, role-playing, and open-world gameplay. With hundreds of awards under its belt, CD Projekt Red discovered a shaft of gold and fame through Geralt as he traverses the life of a Witcher.
The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt follows the story of the monster-slayer Geralt of Rivia as he crosses territories and encounters different creatures and deities while searching for his adopted daughter Ciri. As they are famously called, the Witchers are hired by people, from townsfolk to kings, to slay different kinds of monsters across the fictional Slavic-based country. These monsters have different habitats, behaviors, powers, tendencies, and weaknesses. For this reason, players must equip Geralt with the right kind of weapon and armor depending on the expected enemies to face. In addition to this, Geralt must use a different sword when dealing with hostile humans since his silver sword is solely for fighting monsters.
Many armors and weapons are easily found and purchased in the Witcher world. They can be dropped as loot from enemies, sold by merchants, and even as quest rewards. But among the plethora of weapons and armors readily available at players’ disposal, there lies a set of unique weapon and armor pieces hidden across the land, only attainable when certain conditions are met. One of these unique items is the Basic Feline Witcher Gear, specializing in increasing attacks and inflicting bleeding to enemies. Even more special are the weapon and armor pieces representing the six different Witcher Schools: School of Viper, School of Wolf (where Geralt hails from), School of Cat, School of Bear, School of Manticore, and School of Griffin. This article will help you find the location of these gears and what you need to craft them.
Cat School Diagrams
To craft the Basic Feline Witcher Gear, you need to have the Diagrams necessary. These diagrams are the ones you will spend hours finding since the materials required to craft them are accessible to players through exploration, loots, and merchants. The School of Cat gear is a notch higher than the School of Viper and School of Wolf gear, which means the Feline Witcher Gear requires a higher level to acquire, and an even higher level to upgrade to Enhanced, Superior, and Mastercrafted level. In addition to this, players must also find the right blacksmith and armorer to craft these items scattered throughout the Witcher World.
It is safe to assume players have already familiarized themselves with the game when they reach the point of searching for the School of Cat diagrams. Players must have a considerable amount and variety of materials at this point. Should Geralt find himself lacking materials to craft the gear in the diagram, then spend more time looting, hunting, and exploring until you get all necessary items necessary.

Feline Armor, Gauntlets, Boots and Trousers Diagram
The complete set of the Feline Gear is listed together because they can be obtained altogether in one go. However, to get to them is a little tricky, involves a lot of walking, and even solving some puzzles on top of killing a lot of different monsters. We will explain exactly how to get to it, though, so do not worry.
Head northwest from the St. Gregory’s Bridge Signpost and go around the island to find an entrance that leads down to a cave on the cliff-side. It is not easy to find, so make sure to search for this entrance with utmost detail. Remember the little trinket “The Eye of Nehaleni“ Keira Metz gave you in Velen? You will need this for the illusion blocking the entrance to the cave. If you have not been to that part of the story yet, then chances are you will not survive the rest of this cave trip, so it is better to go back to your main quests until you get this device from Keira. But if you have the Eye of Nehaleni with you, then dispel the illusion blocking the entrance and proceed with caution.
Three entrances lead in deeper into the cave. You will eventually be directed to a Level 14 Golem when you enter the middle entrance. This Golem is relatively durable and packs a punch, so fight it with great footwork and dodging techniques you have acquired along the way. You can either kill the Golem or just run past it, but we recommend killing it since you will need to come back to this point later. Having a raging Golem on your return trip will make your treasure hunting a lot more stressful.
Come back to the cave’s main entrance and take the left path. When you eventually reach a room with statues circled in the middle, find the levers that make the statues change orientation. Make all the statues face inward to make the floors move and expose a body of water. Three downers are waiting to annoy you under these waters, so get your crossbow ready. After dealing with the nuisance, swim to the bottom until you find a key and grab it. Swim back up and go back to the main entrance of the cave.
From here, you will need to come back to the place where you, hopefully, killed the Golem. Behind where the Golem originally stood, you will find a door that the key can open. Prepare your Silver Sword because, after the doors open, you will be welcomed by a human-like creature that can be quickly dealt with using Igni and those fancy witcher sword dances. Put an end to this creature as soon as you can to continue your treasure hunt.
Finally, once the threat is gone, search the area, and you will find a chest containing the Diagrams for Feline Armor, Feline Boots, Feline Gauntlets, and Feline Trousers. The Feline Witcher Gear has the following specs:
