Pokémon Legends: Arceus | Choose a starter and get all starter developments
Of course, no starter can be missing in a Pokémon game. Even if Pokémon Legends: Arceus does a lot of things new, you can choose a starter Pokémon here too. But which is the best choice? That certainly also depends on the appearance of the new Hisui forms of the starter developments. We provide you with all information about the starters in this guide!
Bauz, Arboretoss and Hisui Silvarro
The grass/flying Pokémon Bauz evolves into Arboretoss at level 17, which evolves into Hisui Silvarro at level 36. Silvarro’s Hisui form makes it a Grass/Fighting-type Pokémon. “Fighting” as a second type is very good because you can use it to fight Normal Pokémon. While Hisui-Silvarro has the most weaknesses of any starter evolution, it also has the most strengths. We summarize this again in our table.
weaknesses | Plant attacks effective against… | Combat attacks effective against… |
---|---|---|
Flight (4x) | floor | normal |
Fire | rock | rock |
ice cream | water | steel |
poison | ice cream | |
Psycho | dark |
Fierygel, Igelavar and Hisui-Tornupto
Fiery Gel evolves into Igelavar at level 17 and at level 36 you get Hisui Tornupto. Tornupto originally only has “Fire” as its type and therefore benefits from the Hisui form since it has “Ghost” as its secondary type. This renders Normal and Fighting attacks ineffective against Hisui Tornupto . You can see the other strengths and weaknesses in our table.
weaknesses | Fire-type attacks effective against… | Ghost attacks effective against… |
---|---|---|
water | Beetle | spirit |
floor | steel | Psycho |
rock | plant | |
spirit | ice cream | |
dark |
Ottaro, Zwottronin and Hisui-Admurai
The Water-type Ottaro evolves into Zwottronin at level 17 and Hisui-Admurai at level 36. Admurai normally only has one type, but thanks to Hisui form he gets “dark” as a secondary type. Psychic attacks are therefore ineffective against Admurai . In addition, it has the following strengths and weaknesses.
weaknesses | Water-type attacks effective against… | Dark-type attacks effective against… |
---|---|---|
plant | floor | Beetle |
electric | rock | Psycho |
battle | Fire | |
Beetle | ||
fairy |
Which starter is the best choice?
For Pokémon Legends: Arceus, this question is easy to answer: just choose the Pokémon you like the most. The game isn’t about building the ultimate team, it’s about catching as many monsters as possible. There aren’t that many trainer battles, and if you run into trouble, there are plenty of powerful monsters to catch to customize your team. Also, you can later get the other starters as well, so the choice isn’t that hard in the beginning.
This is how you get all starters
There are two ways to get the other two starters in Pokémon Legends: Arceus.
- After completing the main story, talk to Professor Laven, who will give you the two unselected starters. However, these Pokémon are at level 5 and then have to be trained.
- After completing the main story, all three starters can also appear in space-time distortions. The starters you encounter here will be very high level and ready to be evolved.
