Dying Light 2: Stay Human’s Latest Patch Adds Support for 60fps+ VRR On Xbox
Despite fairly lukewarm critical reception, developer Techland’s highly-anticipated Dying Light 2: Stay Human has enjoyed an incredibly succcessful launch. However, it didn’t perform as well as it should on Xbox Series consoles – but the game’s latest update has added a new graphics mode alongside a slew of other fixes.
Dying Light 2: Stay Human on Xbox will now feature a new 60fps+ through Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) on supported displays. This uncaps the game’s FPS and while it might not always hit its inteded 120 fps target everytime, players on high-refresh displays will surely notice some added responsiveness to the game. Additionally, the patch also fixes a ton of frequently occuring co-op bugs and “balance improvements”. This update is also available for PlayStation users, although different fixes have been issued in that version.
Fans have also requested Techland to enable 60 fps on Xbox Series S consoles, although it seems that the console’s weak GPU is holding them back at the moment. In the meanwhile, read our review for Dying Light 2: Stay Human through here.
