Can your PC run Elden Ring? The system requirements for FromSoftware’s upcoming action RPG have appeared on Steam, only to be removed from the game’s store page.

However, before the listing changed, users were able to grab a snapshot of the Elden Ring system requirements which can you can see listed below. If you read the Steam page now, these are simply stated as “TBD”.

Overall, Elden Ring looks far more demanding than previous games developed by FromSoftware, asking for 12GB of RAM. This has quickly become the standard for modern AAA releases. The graphic card requirements also seem steep when compared the studios’ previous games – it’s likely older hardware will still run Elden Ring albeit at a reduced framerate or resolution.

Elden Ring requirements

  • OS: Windows 10, Windows 11
  • Processor: Intel Core i5 8400 or AMD Ryzen 3 3300X
  • Memory: 12GB RAM
  • Graphics: Nvidia GeForce 1060 3GB or AMD Radeon RX 580 4GB
  • DirectX: 12
  • Storage: 60GB

Elden Ring officially launches on February 25, 2022 for PC as well as PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. We recently went hands-on with a final build of the massive RPG – here’s what we said about the open world exploration:

Elden Ring’s more ambitious open world approach sees exploration shift from repeating challenging combat encounters and opening up new pathways, and more about seeing where you can get to in your chosen direction. The most obvious comparison here is Breath of the Wild and there is definitely a similar sense of freedom – there’s also the same ability to find yourself in areas that are clearly out of your league. That said, there are still dungeons and buildings to explore that play out in more traditional Souls style, so it isn’t a complete departure.

Building up the game’s release date, there has been talk surrounding Elden Ring’s difficulty. FromSoftware has assured fans that it will be just as tough in terms of the brutal action gameplay though Elden Ring will be less stressful overall. We’ll have more on the game in our upcoming review.
